Day Eight was founded by Robert Bettmann (editor) to contribute to the healing of the world through the arts. The organization produces a literary magazine, exhibitions, and performances. Publication of A Future Sea was made possibly be individual donors to Day Eight and grants from Learn24, Anc4a, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the Friends of the Shepherd Park Library.
