The Great World of Days springs to life in the voices of fifty-six poets arranged into a single chorus by editors Gregory Luce, Anne Becker, and Jeffrey Banks. The book documents births, breakups, deaths, abuse, healing, sex, sexuality, and more.
Poems included in the book were first published in the magazine Bourgeon, a project of Day Eight founded in 2005 by Robert Bettmann. Primarily a platform for artists writing about their work, the magazine is also an outlet for poets, now under the leadership of literary editors Gregory Luce, Anne Becker, and Jeffrey Banks - also editors of The Great World of Days.
